💡 Analysis & Explanation
Spatial Mapping Setup
There are two rows. South-facing flats are situated in the Northern row, looking South. North-facing flats are in the Southern row, looking North.
South-Facing (Row 1) Alignment
We know Chitra (C) is next to Fatima (F) and both are in the South-facing row. This row contains F, C, and Arun (A) by elimination.
North-Facing (Row 2) Alignment
Biswajyot (B) and Evan (E) are North-facing. B is not next to Derek (D), so E must be placed right in the middle between B and D to separate them. The layout for this row is B-E-D.
Diagonal Matching
Since F and D are diagonally opposite, if D is at the right end of the North-facing row, F must be at the extreme left end of the South-facing row. The layout becomes (F-C-A) opposite to (B-E-D).
Conclusion
The extreme opposite ends now pair Arun (A) and Biswajyot (B) perfectly diagonally across from each other.
