On January 30, 2026, the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) successfully conducted the 34th session of the National Good Governance Webinar Series. The central theme of this session was the "Holistic Development of Districts." Following the Prime Minister's directive to democratize administrative excellence, the webinar served as a platform to dissect and disseminate award-winning governance models to officials across the nation.

Shri Puneet Yadav, Addl. Secretary, DARPG
The session highlighted two specific initiatives that previously won the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration (2023). These case studies were presented to encourage replication in other aspirational districts.
1. The Gumla Model (Jharkhand)
Presented by Mr. Karn Satyarthi (Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum), this initiative focused on the transformative strategies applied in the Gumla District to achieve comprehensive developmental goals.
2. The Kargil Model (Ladakh)
Presented by Mr. Shrikant Balasaheb Suse (DC/District Magistrate, Kupwara), this presentation detailed the unique administrative successes achieved in the challenging topography of the Kargil District.
The Prime Minister's Vision
The genesis of this series lies in the Prime Minister's directive that winners of the "PM’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration" should not be isolated successes. Instead, their methodologies must be shared with District Collectors and Line Departments nationwide to foster a culture of competitive federalism and replication.
Institutionalizing Success
Since April 2022, DARPG has institutionalized this knowledge-sharing mechanism by holding one webinar every month. These sessions not only celebrate past achievements but critically analyze the sustainability and scalability of these projects.
