This strategic investment spans across critical sectors—including roadways, railway modernization, and maritime port upgrades—designed to spur regional economic growth, enhance trade efficiency, and align the state's growth trajectory with the vision of a 'Viksit Bengal'.

🛣️ Roadway Expansion & Connectivity
The foundation was laid for the Kharagpur–Moregram Expressway and the Dubrajpur Bypass. Coupled with the construction of major bridges over the Kangsabati and Shilabati rivers, these projects are expected to drastically reduce travel times and stimulate local economic hubs.
🚆 Railway Modernization
To ensure safer and faster rail transit, the Automatic Block Signalling System was launched on the Kalaikunda–Kanimahuli route. Additionally, a new express train connecting Purulia to Anand Vihar Terminal was flagged off to benefit multiple states across northern and eastern India.
⚓ Port & Maritime Enhancement
- Mechanization of the Haldia Dock Complex to expedite cargo handling and boost trade capacities.
- Extensive renovation of the historic Bascule Bridge located at the Kolkata Dock System.
- Strategic augmentation of cargo handling capacity at the Kidderpore Dock to strengthen eastern logistics networks.
