On the sidelines of the AI Summit in New Delhi, Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar (MoS Communications, India) held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Kanishka Narayan (UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary for AI and Online Safety) at Dak Bhawan. The meeting focused on operationalizing the India–UK Connectivity and Innovation Centre and advancing the India–UK 2030 Roadmap.

🗳️ Strategic Global Support (ITU)

India sought the UK's support for key multilateral engagements at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU):

  • 👩‍💼 Directorship: Candidature of Ms. M. Revathi for the position of Director, Radiocommunication Bureau (BR).
  • 📅 Council Seat: India’s re-election to the ITU Council for the term 2027–2030.
  • 🌏 Hosting Rights: India’s proposal to host the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-2030).
