Key Features & Technological Architecture
The
Sujalam Bharat Database
acts as a centralized digital registry, securing the history of infrastructure conditions, maintenance activities, and service-level performance.
🆔 Introduction of 'Sujal Gaon ID'
A cornerstone of this initiative is the creation of a unique
Sujalam Bharat – Sujal Gaon ID
for each scheme and its service area. Analogous to Aadhaar for individuals, this ID will serve as the digital identity for rural water management, enabling clear identification of which specific scheme supplies water to which households.📊 Comprehensive Digital Profiling
Every habitation will have a distinct digital profile displaying real-time information on its drinking water source (local or bulk), the condition of the infrastructure, supply reliability, water quality status, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) arrangements.
🗺️ Geospatial Integration
•
The app enables advanced geo-referencing of rural water supply assets.
•
It is integrated with the
PM Gati Shakti GIS
to provide up-to-date geospatial mapping of rural water networks.•
This integration supports future planning, swift repairs, and precise expansion of water infrastructure.
The platform ensures transparency in the performance of Gram Panchayats, Village Water and Sanitation Committees (VWSCs), and service providers. A detailed training session was conducted by the BISAG-N technical team for all States and UTs to ensure seamless adoption and geo-referencing procedures nationwide.
